summary: 'Beyond Nen went offline on October 7, 2026 for a full rework. As of November 4, the official release trailer is out and the developer says the release is approaching — no date yet. The New Age test wave has been live since October 31; public servers remain offline until launch.'
faq:
  - question: 'Why did Beyond Nen go offline?'
    answer: 'The team closed Wave 1 early access on October 7, 2026, saying it was stopping to implement changes, rework core systems, and respond to community feedback from the open playtests.'
  - question: 'Can I play Beyond Nen right now?'
    answer: 'No. The Roblox game page still shows no running servers as of October 31, 2026 — but the reworked build is now in the hands of the new "New Age" test wave, with the developer playing alongside testers.'
  - question: 'When does Beyond Nen come back?'
    answer: 'No date yet. As of November 4 the official release trailer is out and the developer says the official release is approaching — the announcement, then the date, are the next milestones. The five-to-six-month community projection remains unofficial.'
  - question: 'How do I know when it is back?'
    answer: 'Announcements are the only reliable signal: the official Discord (discord.gg/beyondnen), the official X account @BeyondNen, the DecxyRbx YouTube channel, and the Roblox game page itself.'

Beyond Nen's public build is **offline as of October 7, 2026**. The team pulled Wave 1 early access almost a week after it opened, and the Roblox game page now greets visitors with a "no running experiences" message instead of a play button. If you played during the October weekend rush, the servers you saw are gone — here is exactly what happened, why the team chose a full stop over a live patch, and what to watch for next.

<Callout type="info" title="Status — RELEASED November 7, 2026">
**Beyond Nen is open now** — playable on PC, mobile, and console. Launch codes **THANKYOU!** and **RELEASE!** are live (see the [codes page](/codes/all-codes/)); full launch breakdown in [our launch post](/updates/launch-day/). This tracker remains as the closure-to-launch archive.

## Why did Beyond Nen go offline?

On October 7, 2026 — about a week into the public early-access window — the team shut down Wave 1. The stated reason: they are stopping to **implement changes, rework core systems, and respond to feedback** gathered from the open playtests, rather than patching around problems while more players pour in.

The feedback pressure behind that call is well documented. Community criticism after the first weekend centered on three things: **monetization**, an **early-game loop that repeated too quickly**, and **thin endgame goals** — most notably that earning a Hunter's License, the game's headline milestone, unlocked Nen but almost nothing else: no new zones, no high-level quest lines, nothing that made being a licensed Hunter feel different. Media coverage of the delay (Destructoid, AllThingsHow, BloxInformer all carried it) framed the closure as a big rebuild rather than a tune-up.

## What Wave 1 proved before it shut down

Worth remembering what the week actually demonstrated, because it is the reason the community did not leave:

- **2.5+ million visits** across the public playtests, with an **80%+ rating** still standing after the shutdown controversies.
- The core systems worked in real hands: [race / lineage / Nen affinity rolls](/guides/character-creation-guide/), [lineage rarity tiers](/guides/lineage-guide/), ore mining, and the Hunter Exam's later tournament-style PvP — which even critical reviewers called the build's strongest stretch.
- A **69,000+ member Discord** stayed active after the closure. The audience is still there; the game is not.

That is a reservoir of goodwill the team can spend — but only if the rework visibly addresses the complaints.

## What is being reworked

Between the closure and now, the team has announced (via Discord and their QA recruitment, see [our QA wave recap](/updates/qa-test-recruitment/)) that the rebuild targets:

1. **Progression systems** — the post-Hunter's-License void is the loudest complaint, so expect new goals past the exam.
2. **The new-player introduction** — the first hours were criticized for pace and hand-holding; a reworked tutorial and early-game flow are in progress.
3. **Feedback-driven polish** — each test wave's notes are being folded into the build before the next public showing.

A wave of **50–200 vetted testers** is being recruited to evaluate the reworked build before it returns to everyone — which typically signals months, not weeks, of remaining work.

## Update (October 31): the "New Age" test wave is live

The rework moved from plans to playtests. On **October 31**, the developer (Decay) posted **"W NEW AGE TESTERS!"** in the official Discord, and the `new age` voice channels have been running with the dev himself plus a live roster of testers for over a day — the vetted cohort recruited earlier this month (see [our QA recruitment recap](/updates/qa-test-recruitment/)).

What this means, in order of certainty:

1. **The reworked build is in tester hands** — the 50–200-tester gate the team set before any public return is now running, with the developer actively online;
2. **An EA announcement is expected soon** — the developer's messaging points to a public announcement for the next early-access window; no date or announcement text has been posted yet;
3. **Nothing is publicly playable yet** — the Roblox page still shows no running servers. When the announcement lands, this page updates within the hour.

## Update (November 4): official release trailer out — launch approaching

The milestone arrived. Decay posted **"BEYOND NEN | OFFICIAL RELEASE TRAILER"** in the official Discord, released the trailer, and wrote that the **official release is approaching** — while confirming the rework targeted **reworked systems, the player experience, and the introduction/progression flow** rather than just new content.

<Video id="PgbVWWTU03Q" title="Beyond Nen Release Trailer (official, DecayRbx)" />

What it means, in order of certainty:

1. **The rework is done enough to market** — trailers are launch-window assets;
2. **The official release is approaching** — the strongest signal since the October 7 closure, though still not a date;
3. **No date, no codes yet** — first codes are expected on release day and will be tested and listed on our [codes page](/codes/all-codes/) within minutes. Full breakdown in [our trailer post](/updates/official-release-trailer/).

## Update (November 6): 100 more EA giveaways — launch prep continues

The cadence was compounding: one day after the trailer, staff announced **100 more early-access giveaways** to celebrate the upcoming release — same invite-5 threshold as October, but access now routes through giveaway draws (the InviteForge bot grants the ticket role). Details in [our giveaways post](/updates/ea-giveaways-100/).

## RELEASED (November 7, 2026): the wait is over

The arc closed exactly one month after the closure: Decay posted **"BEYOND NEN IS OPEN NOW!"** — PC, mobile, and console, with launch codes **THANKYOU!** and **RELEASE!** (a third at 10k likes). Live numbers, first steps, and the full launch breakdown in [our launch post](/updates/launch-day/). This page now serves as the closure-to-launch archive.

## When will Beyond Nen come back?

**No return date has been announced.** A five-to-six-month projection (putting a relaunch around spring 2027) circulates in the community, but it is **not an official figure** — the team has given no date, and this game's history already includes several slips. The reliable signals are:

- The Roblox game page — return means playable servers show up where "no running experiences" sits now.
- The [official Discord](https://discord.gg/beyondnen) — test-wave recruitment and relaunch announcements land here first.
- Our [updates column](/updates/), where every announcement gets a dated post.

## What to do while you wait

1. **Join the official Roblox group and Discord** — relaunch rewards and the first test-wave slots favor members who are already there.
2. **Study while it is dark** — your [Nen affinity plan](/guides/nen-types-guide/) and [bloodline picks](/guides/lineage-guide/) will decide your account far more than any day-one grinding, and reworked systems will not change the six-type framework.
3. **Ignore "relaunch date" rumors** — every previous "confirmed date" for this game has slipped. Until the Discord posts it, it does not exist.
